From the Past…To the Present…From Hand to Hand…With Love
A slice of time from the past… I am listening to the family elders excitedly at my grandmother’s knee… Although it seemed like a fairy tale to me at the time, this story, which is actually very real, is the life story of my great-grandfather and grandmother… Years later, I realize that this story is the starting point of my passion for the past and I feel happy… Now I am also “old”… Over time, I have photos, books, memories that I have collected with pleasure and a pile of “old” things that I could not bear to throw away… As time went by, these old things began to not fit in closets, boxes and chests… My journey of collecting old things and painting wood, which I started in the eighties, continued as a job in Alaçat Bahçe in the nineties and then in Alaçat Kırevi… Now, there is a new door in my life… We pass through this carved wooden door with my memories of the past and my loved ones… Open the door, merchant chief… Greetings to yesterday… Hello to today…
